Committee on Kurdistani Areas outside the KRG Administrative Area's statement regarding ISIS attack on Prde

Tragically, the security gap in the Kurdistani areas outside the KRG administration has been exploited again by ISIS terrorists who attacked Peshmerga forces near Prde, killing and injuring several Peshmerga soldiers. 

We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers and we wish the injured a speedy recovery.

We call on the Iraqi Federal Government to abide by its military agreement with the KRG and work quickly to start joint operations between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army.

Finally, we call for measures to be taken urgently to implement Article 140 of the Constitution, as a solution to the status and situation to all the Kurdistani areas outside the KRG administration.
