Deputy Speaker Hawrami expresses best wishes to workers on International Workers Day

This 1st May, International Workers' Day, I congratulate the workers of Kurdistan, Iraq and the world. Workers are the backbone of society, through their tireless work and sacrifices. They are the reason for the economic reconstruction, development and progress of our nation. The foundations of our advancement and our society’s progress depend on the tireless efforts of workers.

The Kurdistan Parliament defends and supports the rights of all segments of society, through legislation and raising the public’s demands and needs, to greater prosperity and better livelihoods, and above all we support the rights of workers to a decent living, greater prosperity, insurance and pensions at the age of retirement.
