Deputy Speaker Hawrami welcomes Egypt's new Consul Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Wajih Hijazi

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 26 May welcomed Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Wajih Hijazi, Egypt’s new Consul in the Kurdistan Region. They discussed the current political situation in Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region, and the long standing relations between the peoples of Kurdistan and Egypt.

Dr. Hawrami welcomed Consul Hijazi to Kurdistan and wished him success in his duties. He gave him a summary of the current political situation in Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region, and hoped for the long-standing friendship between the peoples of Kurdistan and Egypt to develop further in the economic, cultural and educational fields.

The Deputy Speaker in particular asked for ties to be established between the Kurdistan Parliament and the Parliament of Egypt.
