Deputy Speaker Hawrami welcomes Greece's new Consul General Dr. Stavros Kyrimis

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 26 May welcomed Dr. Stavros Kyrimis, Greece's new Consul General in Kurdistan Region. They discussed strengthening relations between the parliaments of Kurdistan and Greece, as well as closer academic and commercial relations. 

Dr. Hawrami welcomed Dr. Kyrimis, who is a seasoned diplomat with many years of experience. They agreed that closer relations would greatly benefit both sides, for example between parliaments, in higher education, flights, and particularly investment and commerce. 

The Deputy Speaker said that Kurdistan Region values Greece as a partner. They discussed the latest political developments in Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region.
