Order of business for sitting of 5 May 2021

The Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament Dr. Rewaz Faiq calls MPs to a sitting on Wednesday 5th May 2021 at 11am, the 12th ordinary sitting of the spring session of the third year of the fifth term of Parliament. The Presidency of Parliament announces the order of business of the sitting as follows:

1) First reading of the following bills, per articles 79 and 80 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure:

i) Bill on Preservation of Documents and Manuscripts.

ii) Bill on Preservation of Documents of Kurdistan Region – Iraq.

iii) Bill on Preservation of Documents and the National Archive in Kurdistan Region – Iraq.

2) MP Liza Falakadin Sabir Kakayi (KDP) will speak about solar energy as a source of electricity generation, per Article 49 (paragraph 1, point 2) of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

3) Second reading of the Bill on the Ministry of Electricity in Kurdistan Region – Iraq, per articles 87, 88 and 89 of the Internal Rules of Procedure.

4) First reading of the Bill on the Criminal Court in Kurdistan Region – Iraq for the crimes of ISIS.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament decides and announces the order of business of this sitting according to Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, Article 5, Article 16 (paragraph 1), Article 18 (paragraph 3), Article 20 (paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), and articles 47, 48, 52, 54, 55, 56 and 57.
