Speaker Rewaz Faiq welcomes Greece's new Consul General in Kurdistan Dr. Stavros Kyrimis

Today's afternoon, Wednesday, 5/26/2021, Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 26 May welcomed Greece's new Consul General in Kurdistan Region, Dr. Stavros Kyrimis.

Speaker Faiq congratulated Dr. Kyrimis on his posting and asked him to help strengthen bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Greece, particularly cultural ties.

The Speaker added, "Kurdistan Parliament values Greece's positive role, Kurdistan Region needs experience and expertise in travel, tourism and commerce. We hope that in the future we can develop ties with Greece in these areas through investment and trade."

Consul General Kyrimis said that he looks forward to helping to build a broader and closer relationship between Kurdistan and Greece in culture, education and commerce.
