Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami meets with Head of EU Liaison Office Marie Paret

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 1 November 2021 received Ms. Marie Paret, the Head of the EU Liaison Office in Erbil. They discussed the recent Iraqi general election and the current political situation.

He and Ms. Paret agreed that the technicalities of the election went smoothly and successfully.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami gave his perspectives on the election results and the process of forming the next Iraqi government. 

Ms. Paret spoke about the official EU election observation mission, and the hope that the election will lead to a stable, secure and prosperous Iraq.
