Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami welcomes Saudi Arabia's Consul General Mr. Mohammad bin Suleiman Al-Asiri

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 7 November 2021 welcomed Mr. Mohammad bin Suleiman Al-Asiri, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They discussed the historic close relations between Kurdistan Region and Saudi Arabia, and strengthening ties in many areas.

Consul General Al-Asiri commended the Kurdistan Region for its stability, tolerance and good leadership, which he said is a good example for the wider region.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami and Mr. Al-Asiri discussed the historic friendship between the two nations and how to strengthen cooperation in many areas.

Dr. Hawrami gave the Saudi Arabia Consul General an overview of Parliament's parties, reserved seats and standing committees.

They also discussed the current political and security situation in Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
