Order of Business for sitting of 26 October 2021

The Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament Dr. Rewaz Faiq calls MPs to a sitting on Tuesday 26th October 2021 at 11am, the fourth ordinary sitting of the autumn session of the third year of the fifth term of Parliament. The Presidency of Parliament announces the order of business of the sitting as follows:

1) First reading of the Bill on Supervision of Agricultural Projects in Kurdistan Region – Iraq, per Article 78 (paragraph 2) and Article 83 (paragraph 1) of Kurdistan Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

2) Resignation of MP Daban Mohammed Hussein from membership of Parliament's Integrity Committee.

3) Presentations by committees:

(i) Parliament’s Committee on Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research will present their latest investigations and work on the issue of the three university graduates with the highest grades right to recruitment in the public sector and on the issue of non-contract teachers’ demands, and the committee’s preparations with the relevant authorities regarding these issues.

(ii) Parliament’s Committee on Energy, Natural Resources, Commerce and Industry will present their latest investigations and work with the relevant authorities regarding the issue of fuel and solutions to the problems with fuel.

4) Second readings of the following bills, per articles 87, 88 and 89 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure:

(i) Amendments to the application of Iraq Trade Law No. 30 of 1984 in Kurdistan Region - Iraq.

(ii) Bill on Production and Import of Seeds and Plants and Registration, Approval, and Protection of Agricultural Chemicals in Kurdistan Region - Iraq.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament decides and announces the order of business of this sitting according to Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, Article 5, Article 16 (paragraphs 1, 2, 3), Article 18 (paragraph 3), Article 20 (paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), and articles 47, 48, 52, 54, 55, 56 and 57.
