Deputy Speaker Hawrami meets with Korea's Consul General Choi Kwang-Jin

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 20 September received Korea's Consul General in Kurdistan Region, Mr. Choi Kwang-Jin. They discussed the upcoming Iraqi election and the political and security situation in Kurdistan Region and Iraq. 

On behalf of the Kurdistan Parliament, Deputy Speaker Hawrami thanked the Republic of Korea for the close friendship and ties with Kurdistan Region since 2004.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami led a parliamentary delegation to Korea's National Assembly in 2019. 

Dr. Hawrami and Consul General Choi exchanged views on the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary election and the political and security situation in Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The Deputy Speaker stressed the need for a free, fair and credible election.
