Kurdistan Parliament holds first reading of Bill on Amendments to Law on Ministry of Finance & Economy, second readings of three bills

The Kurdistan Parliament on 2 September held a sitting for readings of bills, presided over by the Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq, with the Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami and Secretary Muna Kahveci alongside her.

The Legislative Committee held the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to Law on the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Kurdistan Region – Iraq. The Speaker directed the bill to the relevant standing committees to work on it for its second reading.

Then the relevant standing committees held the second readings of the following bills and legislative proposals:

Bill on Honours and Medals in Kurdistan Region - Iraq.

Bill on Second Amendments to the Law on the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Kurdistan Region – Iraq (Law No. 14 of 1993).

Bill on First Amendments to the Law on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Kurdistan Region – Iraq (Law No. 10 of 2010).

MPs made detailed comments and recommendations on the three bills, which will be studied by the relevant committees, and the suggestions and the entirety of the bills will be put to voting at future parliament sittings.
