Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami meets with Germany’s Deputy Consul General Mr. Sven Mossler

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 15 August 2022 received Mr. Sven Mossler, Germany’s Deputy Consul General in Kurdistan Region. They discussed the latest political and economic developments in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, the next Kurdistan Parliament election, and parliamentary relations.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami and Deputy Consul General Mossler discussed the political situation in Iraq and Kurdistan Region, and the ongoing talks among political parties to reach a compromise on the next Kurdistan Parliament election process.

Dr. Hawrami thanked Germany for its consistent support for the people of Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and its assistance and training for the Peshmerga forces to contain the threat from ISIS.

The Deputy Speaker and Deputy Consul General Mossler agreed on the importance of relations between the Kurdistan Parliament and the Bundestag on many issues of mutual interest.
