Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami meets with Jordan’s Consul General Mr. Fuad Al Majali

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 17 August 2022 met with Jordan’s Consul General in Kurdistan Region, Mr. Fuad Al Majali. They discussed the political situation in Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami gave Consul General Al Majali an overview of the talks between political parties on the next Kurdistan Parliament election, including renewing the mandate of the Kurdistan High Election Commission (KHEC) and reviewing the Election Law.

They also discussed the latest political developments in Iraq.

Dr. Hawrami and Mr. Al Majali agreed on the importance of maintaining the close historic friendship between the Kurdistan Region and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
