Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami welcomes South Korea’s Consul General Mr. Cho Kijoung

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 14 August 2022 welcomed South Korea’s Consul General, Mr. Cho Kijoung. They discussed the political situation in Iraq and Kurdistan Region, the next Kurdistan Parliament election, and bilateral ties.

Regarding the political situation in Iraq, Consul General Cho said that Iraq’s peace and stability are very important to the international community.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami and Consul General Cho discussed the special bond between Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Korea since 2004. Dr. Hawrami thanked South Korea for its support for the people of Kurdistan.

Both sides agreed to continue to develop parliamentary relations.
