Secretary Muna Kahveci congratulates Kurdistan Democratic Party on their 76th anniversary

Dear President Masoud Barzani, members of the Political Bureau and Leadership Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party,

On the 76th anniversary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), I extend my best wishes to you, members of the political bureau and leadership council, your staff, all members and to our heroic Peshmerga.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party has always championed the protection and guarantee of the rights of all the different communities, and has defended all the different communities from any threat to their lives.

I value greatly the KDPs’s important and influential role in protecting Kurdistan, and in defending the greater interests and sovereignty of the homeland, in defending freedom and independence, throughout the history of our people’s liberation movement.

The KDP is the founder and guardian of the Kurdistan Region as a political entity, and has played the greatest role in strengthening the international standing of the Kurdish people's cause. I hope for the continued success of your struggle to achieve our nation’s goals and to secure our people’s legitimate rights and demands.  

We hope that this anniversary will encourage greater political unity and solidarity, a unified political discourse, and genuine alliances and cooperation among all political forces and parties so that we can strengthen the foundations of our nation’s experience, protect our achievements and secure more for our people.
