Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq bids farewell to Germany’s outgoing Consul General Mr. Klemens Semtner

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 3 August 2022 received Germany’s outgoing Consul General Mr. Klemens Semtner who came to bid the Speaker farewell at the end of his posting in the Kurdistan Region.

Mr. Semtner thanked Speaker Faiq for Parliament’s good coordination with the Consulate General and for its Parliamentary diplomacy, and said that he was grateful to have had the opportunity to see Kurdistan’s culture for himself.

Speaker Faiq commended Mr. Semnter for his diplomatic experience and expertise and wished him success in his next posting.

They also discussed the latest political developments in Kurdistan and Iraq, Iraq’s current instability and its negative impact on the overall situation in Iraq and the region.

Both emphasized strengthening bilateral relations in many areas.
