Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq receives Turkey’s outgoing Consul General Mr. Hakan Karacay

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 23 August 2022 bid farewell to Turkey’s outgoing Consul General Mr. Hakan Karacay, and thanked him for his work during his five-year posting in Kurdistan Region.

Consul General Karacay said that he appreciated the continued close political and economic relationship and coordination between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey. He spoke about his experiences and work in Kurdistan Region, and was pleased to see diversity and peaceful coexistence in the Kurdistan Region. He thanked Speaker Faiq for her important and influential role.

Speaker Faiq said that she valued Consul General’s role in maintaining bilateral relations and wished him success in his future posting.
