Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami welcomes Turkey’s new Consul General Mr. Mehmet Mevlut Yakut

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 21 December 2022 welcome Turkey’s new Consul General, Mr. Mehmet Mevlut Yakut.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami congratulated Mr. Yakut on his new posting and wished him success.

They discussed political, economic and security developments in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and agreed on the importance of the Kurdistan Region-Turkey bilateral relationship in many areas, as neighbours of strategic significance.

Dr. Hawrami and Consul General Yakut said that Kurdistan Region and Turkey have a shared interest in strengthening bilateral ties in many areas.
