Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq welcomes Turkey’s new Consul General Mr. Mehmet Mevlut Yakut

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 19 December 2022 welcomed Turkey’s new Consul General in Kurdistan Region, Mr. Mehmet Mevlut Yakut. 

Speaker Faiq congratulated Mr. Yakut on his posting and wished him success in his work.

They discussed the importance of their cultural and historic relationship, as neighbouring nations and peoples.

Dr. Faiq highlighted the laws passed in this current term of Parliament that have the aim of supporting the development of industry, agriculture and tourism and encouraging entrepreneurs and investors in those sectors.

Consul General Yakut thanked Speaker Faiq for welcoming him and hoped that their nations can develop their bilateral relationship further.
