Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami welcomes Duhok University students of public policy & political science

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 9 February 2022 welcomed Duhok University second-year students of public policy and political science.

Dr. Hawrami outlined Parliament’s efforts to support and improve education and higher education.

In his speech to the students he said, “In this current term of Parliament we have passed many laws and [compared to previous parliaments] we have carried out the most scrutiny and follow-up of the Government's work, and had the most meetings with government senior delegations and ministers in sittings and in the standing committees."

The students had a long Q&A with Deputy Speaker Hawrami about Parliament’s work, how legislation is proposed, drafted and passed, and how sittings are conducted.
