Secretary Muna Kahveci welcomes Head of EU Liaison Office Ms. Marie Paret

Kurdistan Parliament Secretary Muna Kahveci on 2nd February 2022 welcomed the Head of the EU Liaison Office in Erbil, Ms. Marie Paret. They discussed the latest political developments in Kurdistan Region and Iraq and the next Kurdistan Parliament election. 

Secretary Kahveci and Ms. Paret exchanged views on the Iraqi government formation process and the forthcoming election of the president of Iraq. 

Secretary Kahveci said, "We want the Kurdistan Parliament elections to be held on time."

She added that there is active political representation and participation by Kurdistan Region's ethnic and religious communities in Parliament, the government and other leading institutions, saying that they also have ministerial positions in the current cabinet.
