Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami welcomes members of the Yazidi Kurdish community in Russia

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 25 January welcomed academic and artistic members of Russia’s Yazidi Kurdish community, led by Ordikhan. Dr. Hawrami commended the Yazidi Kurds in Russia for maintaining their language, culture and identity.

Dr. Hawrami and the delegation talked about the life, culture, status and number of Kurds in Russia.

The delegation said that preserving Kurdish language and culture is important, specially the role that religious and intellectual figures in the Yazidi Kurdish community continue to play in maintaining Kurdish identity, culture, and language in Russia and other countries.
