Secretary Muna Kahveci welcomes Mir Hazim Mir Tahsin Beg, the Prince of the Yazidis

Kurdistan Parliament Secretary Muna Kahveci on 18 January 2022 welcomed Mir Hazim Mir Tahsin Beg, the Prince of the Yazidis in Kurdistan Region and throughout the world, together with his wife and his delegation.

Secretary Kahveci, who is a member of the Turkmen Reform Party, spoke about the current situation and rights of the ethnic and religious components in the Kurdistan Region. She outlined the laws that guarantee their rights in general, and guarantee their seats in the Kurdistan Parliament.

Secretary Kahveci also briefed Mir Hazim Tahsin Beg about the attempts to reactivate the Kurdistan Region constitutional drafting committee and stated that there are concerted efforts to fulfill most of the demands and rights of Kurdistan’s ethnic and religious components in the draft, including the demands of the Yazidis.

The Parliament Secretary reaffirmed her support for Mir Hazim Mir Tahsin Beg’s requests.
