Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq makes several decisions on Kurdistan Region Legislation Database

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 27 July 2022 met with the supervisor and staff of the Kurdistan Region Legislation Database to discuss the progress of their work.

 The meeting was attended by the Head of Parliament’s Research Centre, the Chief Editor of Parliament’s website and several technical staff.

Speaker Faiq said that the legislation database has been in the testing phase and now can be announced and publicized more widely through the media and through official communication with the presidencies of Kurdistan Region, of the Council of Ministers and of the Judiciary Council, as well as with universities and other academic institutions.

Speaker Faiq also decided that the name and content of the online legislation database should be changed, given its importance. Hence the Speaker decided to extend the database’s testing phase for another three months, until any gaps and problems are fully resolved.
