Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami meets with Italy’s Consul Mr. Michele Camerota

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 15 May 2022 welcomed Mr. Michele Camerota, Italy’s Consul in Kurdistan Region. They discussed the political situation in Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider region, the next Kurdistan Parliament election and strengthening relations in many areas.

Dr. Hawrami wished Mr. Camerota continued success in his posting as Italy’s Consul in Kurdistan Region and said that Parliament is ready to support the Consulate’s work.

Both sides hoped for greater cooperation between Kurdistan Region and Italy in different areas, such as higher education, culture, archeology and trade.
