Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami welcomes Kuwait’s new Consul General Othman Dawoud

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 16 November 2022 welcomed Kuwait’s new Consul General in Erbil, Othman Dawoud. They discussed bilateral relations and political developments.

On behalf of the Kurdistan Parliament, Deputy Speaker Hawrami thanked the Government and people of Kuwait for their assistance to Kurdistan Region during the war against ISIS, in particular Kuwait’s assistance to support IDPs and refugees.

They discussed the importance of closer diplomatic ties and more bilateral cooperation, and Kurdistan Region’s role and position in the wider region.

Dr. Hawrami wished Consul General Othman success in his duties.
