Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq bids farewell to UK’s outgoing Consul General Mr. David Hunt

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 30 November 2022 bid farewell to the UK’s outgoing Consul General, David Hunt. She said that Consul General Hunt’s work in Kurdistan Region was important and highly valued.

Speaker Faiq thanked Consul General Hunt for his cooperation and mutual understanding during his posting in Kurdistan Region, and she wished him continued success in the future.

They briefly exchanged views on the political situation and recent developments.

Outgoing Consul General Hunt highlighted and appreciated the useful conversations between the Kurdistan Parliament and the British Consulate General during his tenure.

Speaker Faiq and Mr. Hunt agreed on the importance of continuing to strengthen the strong Kurdistan Region-UK partnership.
