Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq extends best wishes to Kurdistan Women's Union on their 33rd anniversary

On the 33rd anniversary of the Kurdistan Women’s Union, I extend my best wishes to the union’s Secretary and members of the Secretariat.

I hope that this anniversary will augur the achievement of women’s legitimate demands and aspirations, and success in achieving the strategic goals for which you have struggled for 33 years.

From its beginnings, the Kurdistan Women's Union, a courageous and radical organization, has been a pioneer in harnessing abilities, consolidating women’s essential role and position in society, advancing women in the civic struggle, and fighting for women’s participation in the political process and decision-making.

The Kurdistan Women’s Union has been a training ground for dozens of women leaders, a testament its historic role.

I hope that you will remain at the forefront of serving women’s legitimate cause and wish you success in achieving your goals.
