Parliament's Health Committee discuss legislative proposals with KRG Health Minister and syndicates

Kurdistan Parliament’s Health Committee on 3 April 2023 met with the KRG Minister of Health Dr. Saman Barzinji and the heads of syndicates to discuss several legislative proposals.

Minister for the Region for Parliament Affairs Dr. Vala Fareed took part in the meeting.

The Health, Environment and Consumer Rights Committee chair Dr. Sabah Zebari briefly explained the steps and meetings they had held to prepare the legislative proposals on the biologists syndicate and the health professionals syndicate, and the Bill on the Third Amendment to the Law on the Kurdistan Pharmacists Syndicate, Law No. 8 of 1999.

The committee asked Minister Barzinji to coordinate with the syndicates so that the legislation helps to develop the health sector for the provision of the best services to the public.

Minister Barzinji gave his views on various articles and provisions of the bills, and said that coordination between the Health Ministry, Parliament committee and syndicates is essential to optimally prepare and pass legislation.
