Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq welcomes Mr. Mahmoud Chalabi, leader of Turkmen National Will Party

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 26 April 2023 welcomed Mr. Mahmoud Chalabi, leader of the Turkmen National Will Party.

They discussed the political, social and cultural situation for Kurdistan's ethnic and religious minorities generally and for the Turkmen community in particular.

The main topics of the meeting were the next Kurdistan Parliament election, the number of seats and the seats reserved for the ethnic and religious communities. Speaker Faiq expressed her support for the communities' legal and constitutional rights in Kurdistan Region and all of Iraq.

Mr. Chalabi thanked the Speaker for her support for the Turkmen and all Kurdistan's component communities.
