Deputy Speaker Hawrami welcomes Ms. Catherine Croft, Political and Economic Affairs Chief at US Consulate General in Kurdistan Region

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 23 January 2023 welcomed Ms. Catherine Croft, the Political and Economic Affairs Chief at the US Consulate General in Kurdistan Region. 

Ms. Croft was accompanied by Mr. Joshua Lewis, Political and Economic Officer. 

They discussed the current political situation in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, as well as Kurdistan-Baghdad relations.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami highlighted the political, legislative and technical aspects of the next Parliament election, and the steps that Parliament should take to make the necessary preparations.

Strengthening the Kurdistan Region-US relationship was another topic of their discussion.
