Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami conveys best wishes for Happy Nawroz and for anniversary of Uprising in Kirkuk

I extend my best wishes to all the people of Kurdistan and Kurds in all parts of Kurdistan and abroad for a Happy Nawroz and Happy Kurdish New Year.

Nawroz is the renewal of life and the beginning of a new spring, a symbol of the victory of the power of light over darkness, and at the same time the glad tidings of the arrival of a New Year, a great and blessed festival that the people of Kurdistan have celebrated with pride as one of our cultural traditions.

Nawroz always tells us that no matter how hard the winter, there is a spring that will overcome those difficulties.

Newroz coincides with the 32nd anniversary of the uprising and liberation of Kirkuk from the Ba'athists' brutality. I convey my best wishes to the people of Kirkuk on this anniversary and I salute the heroism, resistance and struggle of our people in this beloved city.

This Nawroz as always, I honour the souls of all Kurdistan’s martyrs and convey my best wishes to Kurdistan’s brave Peshmerga.
