Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq conveys best wishes to all Kurdistanis for a Happy Nawroz and Kurdish New Year

I extend my best wishes to all Kurdistanis for a Happy Newroz and Kurdish New Year. Like the coming of spring and the greening of the plains and mountains of Kurdistan, I hope that our cultural diversity and harmony will be renewed and continue to flourish, and that this beautiful celebration will strengthen the love and ties between all communities and deepen cultural networks.

I hope that this celebration spreads joy throughout our nation, that the discourse of unity and solidarity will be put into action, that the threats against Kurdistan Region’s political status will be at the forefront of minds. I hope that all parties, as much as they have struggled, sacrificed and taken responsibility for achieving, protecting and managing the Region’s experience, will compromise on their party and private interests and invest their time, energy, abilities and authority in serving the people fairly, guaranteeing civil liberties and protecting rights.
