Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq conveys best wishes to Kurdistan Teachers Union on their 61st anniversary

I convey my best wishes to the President, members of the Secretariat and all of Kurdistan’s teachers on the 61st anniversary of the Kurdistan Teachers Union, and I wish you all continued success.

It is with pride that today we celebrate the anniversary of one of the most prominent professional organizations in Kurdistan. The Kurdistan Teachers Union has a history of advancing civic activism and making great sacrifices, and has played an influential role by educating hundreds of leaders of science, education, culture and politics.

Your union has campaigned and resisted throughout different eras and bravely faced adverse political, economic and social circumstances.

I value teachers’ vocation and influence on society and I commend your resilience in the face of the challenges and crises experienced by our country.

We in the Kurdistan Parliament fully support your organization’s work in the service of Kurdistan’s teachers and your efforts to improve teachers’ welfare and provide them with the livelihoods that they deserve.
