Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq welcomes Iraqi Parliament’s Endowments and Tribal Affairs Committee

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 10 May 2023 welcomed the Iraqi Parliament’s Endowments and Tribal Affairs Committee.

Members of Kurdistan Parliament’s Endowments and Religious Affairs Committee attended the meeting.

They discussed the importance of religious education, the role of sermons in raising public awareness, and highlighted the anti-hate speech legislative proposal that the Kurdistan Parliament is working on currently.

They also discussed Kurdistan’s peaceful coexistence between different religions without discrimination, respect for different religious and social views and efforts to strengthen intercommunal relations.

Speaker Faiq and members of the two committees stressed strengthening unity and harmony between Iraqis and the people of Kurdistan, and parliamentary cooperation to protect the rights of all the religions communities and preserve Iraq’s unity.
